EMMA HARNEY, COMPANY DIRECTOR

Known for her dogged persuit of coverage and her ability to stay out all night and still work the next morning, Emma Harney took her first musical steps as Ents Officer at Limerick School of Art and Design, where she booked student shows with new bands such as The Manic Street Preachers and The Levellers.

After graduating from Ballyfermot Rock School, Emma became the first Irish booker for Vince Powers Mean Fiddler. She gradually moved into PR and marketing and following stints with MCD, Hot Press and Grapevine (RMGChart),

Emma then landed the Product Manager role with Universal Music. She spent three years developing their major US labels including Interscope and Geffen, where she brought Dr Dre and Papa Roach to the Irish public and broke artists such as Eminem and Nelly Furtado.

Emma stepped out with Aileen and started Entertainment Architects. Emma’s music, entertainment and lifestyle contacts across all media in Ireland have been developed over many years working in all areas of the music industry. These contacts are at the very core of Entertainment Architects and allow EA bands and brands direct access to the movers and tastemakers in Irish entertainment media.

Emma is a veggie and likes the odd bottle of Havana Club.
