AILEEN GALVIN, COMPANY DIRECTOR

Aileen began working in PR when she left art-college in the mid 90’s in Limerick. Having decided she couldn’t face another day tracing Letraset, she went to work for Island Theatre Company in Limerick, publicising and marketing productions and fundraising drives. She was lucky enough to be offered a job in the PR & Marketing department of Buena Vista International, where she worked on many major blockbuster cinema releases and niche independent arthouse movies.

Her work at BVI brought her to the attention of Sony Music Ireland, where she took up the job of Product Manager in 1999. Her time at the major saw her working with acts such as Destiny’s Child, The Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, Super Furry Animals, Leonard Cohen and Bruce Springsteen. Aileen was responsible for breaking many new talents including Travis, Macy Gray and Tenacious D. On the home front, she created launch campaigns for the then unknown Paddy Casey and Sony local signings Brian Kennedy, Luan Parle and Melaton.

She set up Entertainment Architects with Emma and runs the day-to-day business of the company, project managing EA campaigns, liaising with labels, management and artists, working on the ground with a number of clients and developing the business further. She is also EA’s resident writer and poet laureate.

Aileen loves strong coffee and big dogs.
