Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds debut single will be “The Death of You and Me”, released on 19 August in Ireland. Already the subject of global media speculation since a rogue tweet from an L.A. video shoot sparked headlines across the world, The Death Of You And Me marks songwriter Noel Gallagher’s first release in almost three years.

The single precedes the highly anticipated album “Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds” was released on October 14 in Ireland and went straight in at #1 in the Irish Charts.   Co-produced by Noel and David Sardy, the album was recorded in London and Los Angeles and features 10 brand new Noel Gallagher songs.

“Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds” is the first of TWO albums which have recently been completed.

Guests on the album include The Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings (full list below).

A second album, a companion to the above but as yet untitled, was recorded in the UK this year and is now complete. This album is the result of Noel’s continued collaboration with the Amorphous Androgynous, and will be released in 2012. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will tour this autumn, subsequent to the release of their eponymous album.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds performed a sold out show at The Olympia Theatre on Oct 26th – their first ever live performance! They then announced a show at Dublin’s O2 Arena on Feb 17th – which sold out within minutes of going on sale!
