Miracle Bell

In May 2010, Ireland’s finest electro pop merchants Miracle Bell unleashed their debut album ‘Light Shape Sound’ to critical acclaim. Armed with ten tracks, each one laced with enough ear candy to send a hyperactive eight year old to the edge of hysteria, ‘Light Shape Sound’ provided the soundtrack to a very busy 2010 for the band. Joining forces with one of the most sought after producers in Ireland in Ciaran Bradshaw, the band recorded the album at The Nut Shed studio in Clara, Co Offaly.
When lead single ‘Love Sounds’ was released it provided the anthem of the summer for many. With its sugar pop melodies, heart pounding rhythms and killer hook, Love Sounds stormed into the hearts of many – and into the charts. Brimming with irresistible pop delights, the ten tracks were written collaboratively between the three members, drummer John Rigney, lead singer Dave Prendergast and guitarist John Broe. These songs are about love, life and growing and resonate the epic journey the band has been on. Their love of samples and dark synth bass lines has left the end result of Light Shape Sound drawing comparisons to bands like Two Door Cinema Club, Depeche Mode, Talking Heads and Duran Duran.
Following the release of the album in May 2010, the band backed up the tour bus and embarked on an epic 52 date tour of Ireland, including a legendary performance at the Indiependence Festival in Cork and a headline slot at The Button Factory as part of The Hard Working Class Heroes Festival. Things where starting to really move, and following a show stopping performance at The Late Lounge, Kildare as part of the IMRO Showcase Tour, the band were proudly invited to perform at the ‘Best Of Showcase’ show at The Academy, Dublin.
This performance certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Gaining a reputation for their dynamic and interactive live performances, the band were approached and invited to support The Coronas on their winter tour of Ireland. Buoyed by this news, the band were delighted and relished the opportunity to tour with one of the most successful bands in the country with the opportunity of playing in some of the finest venues around the country. On December 10th, the band realised a dream moment in their career when they stepped onto the stage at Olympia Theater in Dublin. This, they decided, was where they wanted to be. And got another opportunity to grace said stage only weeks later in support of Two Door Cinema Club.
After a well deserved break, Miracle Bell came back with the release of their single ‘Light Shape Sound’. Handing the decision making rains over to the people that matter, Miracle Bell invited their fans to visit their website and vote for the bands next single. Streaming four tracks, the vote lasted for one week and although it was a very closely run race, ‘Light Shape Sound’ came out on top. Bursting with trademark melodies and a killer hook, ‘Light Shape Sound’ was released on March, 2011. They followed up their single ‘Inhale Exhale’ released in June, 2011
