‘Celebrate’ for Barretstown!
Jerry Fish – Celebrate
The brand new version out 29 June, 2012, in aid of Barretstown
Jerry Fish has taken time out from recording his new album, due for release this autumn, to create a brand new version of Celebrate produced by Gavin Glass. Releasing as a digital download on June 29th, this is the only version of Celebrate legally available as a download. All proceeds from Irish sales in 2012 will be donated to Barretstown.
Celebrate was first recorded in November 1989 by An Emotional Fish, in fact the band were in the studio the day the Berlin Wall came down and didn’t find out the news until the following day.
“Creating a version of Celebrate for the 21st Century has been a lot of fun. It’s a song that just won’t go away and it seemed crazy to me that such a popular song was not available to buy anywhere. Performing at the Barretstown fundraiser in The Olympia earlier this year made me realise how much the song means to a great many people, so here it is for another generation in aid of Barretstown” ~ Jerry Fish
